This year for summer camp we partnered with Georgia State's Sci-Bridge program. With this partnership, our teachers were able to work with veteran mentors and GSU student teachers. During the two weeks of camp, GSU provided teachers with exciting STEM activities that they completed with their classes during the morning.
They also provided them with professional development opportunities to learn how to incorporate culture responsive teaching through these lessons. In the afternoons, students worked on Project Based Learning units that the teachers created prior to the beginning of camp. On the last day of camp, we had a gallery walk for parents to come and see what their students worked on throughout the two weeks.
Have a look in the gallery below at some of the STEM activities and incredible projects.
