8th Grade Community Projects Are Underway

In 8th grade, Wesley students complete an IB Community Project. The project focuses on needs in the community and allows students to address those needs through service-learning. It is completed individually or in groups of three students. Here's a highlight on some of the projects and their progress:

Earlniyah, Jada, and Jaden's IB Community Project is underway! The students spoke with Mrs. Hedgemon from the Keep Atlanta Beautiful Commission (Public Works) and have helped lead a Wesley Beautification Day. They picked up trash from the playground and surrounding the school's exterior. Check out some photos in the gallery below!

James, Jordan, and Zephaniah have raised the necessary funds to purchase a Little Library, which has already been ordered.

We are so proud of our 8th graders and their commitment to the IB Learner Profile. Many have been at Wesley since kindergarten, and this community project is a fantastic culmination of their work at Wesley!
