As we begin another exciting school year, we'd like to help you get to know a few members of our leadership team. Whether you've known them for years or are meeting them for the first time, each of these leaders shares a deep commitment to helping every Wesley student thrive. Read on to learn a little more about Brandon Lane, Crystal Hudson, and Sean Finney.

Meet Brandon Lane

Middle School Years Programme Assistant Principal

Mr. Lane joins Wesley from Philadelphia, where he built a career rooted in helping students and teachers reach their full potential. A husband, father of two, lifelong learner, and basketball fan, Brandon enjoys building things, reading, and exploring new ideas.

"It was my teachers," Brandon says when asked what inspired him to pursue a career in education. From an elementary teacher who challenged him to become a stronger writer to professors who sparked his love of chemistry, the educators in his life encouraged him to dream bigger and ultimately shaped the path that led him into education.

As he begins his first year at Wesley, Brandon is eager to become part of the community, build relationships with students and families, and experience the Phoenix Way firsthand. He's especially excited about Wesley's IB STEM program and the opportunities it provides for students to engage in meaningful, real-world learning.

"I'm looking forward to fostering an environment of excellence and endless possibility where students develop the skills and abilities to develop economy for themselves, their families, their communities, and beyond."

Fun fact: Brandon has visited several cities in India, has a surprising talent for bird calling, and is a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan. Go Birds!

Get To Know Crystal Hudson 

K-2 Assistant Principal

Ms. Hudson has been part of the Wesley family for years, first serving as the K-5 Instructional Coach before stepping into her new role as K-2 Assistant Principal. An Atlanta native, Crystal enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with her family, and cheering on the Falcons.

For Crystal, education has always been more than a career. "I knew as early as second grade that I wanted to become a teacher," she says. While her role has evolved over the years, her purpose has remained the same: helping others thrive and creating a safe, supportive, and memorable learning experience for every student.

This year, Crystal is especially excited to welcome students back to Wesley's permanent home, continue building strong relationships with families, and support teachers as they help every student succeed.

Fun fact: Crystal loves traveling because it allows her to experience new cultures, explore new places, and create lasting memories with her family.

Get To Know Sean Finney 

PYP 3-5 Assistant Principal

Mr. Finney is no stranger to Wesley. Before joining the PYP 3-5 team, he served as a paraprofessional, math teacher, and MYP Assistant Principal, making Wesley home for much of his career. Originally from Baltimore and raised in Phenix City, Alabama, Sean has lived in Atlanta for the past 12 years and proudly considers himself a lifelong Falcons fan.

The teachers and coaches who invested in Sean's success inspired him to do the same for future generations. "There's nothing more rewarding than watching students grow, not just academically, but as people," he says. One of the greatest joys of his career is seeing former Wesley students graduate from high school, earn scholarships, and continue on to college, knowing he played a small part in their journey.

As he transitions to the PYP team, Sean is excited to build relationships with a new group of students, families, and teachers while bringing the experience he's gained over the years to his new role.

"I'm looking forward to a great year filled with learning, growth, and lots of celebrations."

Fun fact: Sean loves to cook and dreams of opening his own restaurant one day. If you've heard about his ribs, the rumors are probably true.
