The Road to Coan
We are thrilled to announce an exciting new chapter for Wesley International Academy.
In the summer of 2025, we temporarily relocated as we embark on a transformative journey to enhance our beloved school.

Did you know a school has existed on the Wesley site since the 1880s?
What began as Fair Street Grammar School has housed different schools—including Wesley, who will celebrate our 20th anniversary next year.
We're excited to build on this rich history with a brief move and renovations to our facility that will set us up for the next 20 years and beyond!

A Comprehensive $8 Million Renovation
In June 2025, our current building began to undergo an $8 million renovation. This comprehensive project includes:
- Upgraded plumbing and HVAC systems
- Enhanced lighting and modern flooring
- Additional improvements designed to create a more comfortable, efficient, and inspiring space for learning
This renovation is more than just a series of updates—it's an investment in the future of Wesley International Academy, ensuring we remain a beacon of educational excellence for the next 20 years and beyond.
2025-26 Relocation to Coan
During the renovation, we temporarily moved to the Coan Building on Hosea Williams Drive for the 2025-26 school year. This location is just a short distance from our current home and will allow us to continue delivering high-quality education without interruption.
The Coan Building is located at: 1550 Hosea Williams Dr NE
Our Mission - Uninterrupted
This renovation is a pivotal moment for our school community. We are reimagining the interior of Wesley to foster growth, creativity, and success for our students. As we approach our 20th anniversary, these improvements align with our vision to prepare our boys and girls for continued success over the next two decades. Our mission and our day-to-day life will remain unchanged. Our before and after care, curriculum, and extra-curricular activities will continue.

Transportation Survey
We are excited to share that our move to the Coan Building is complete, and this will be our home for the 2025–2026 school year. We are so thankful for the hard work of our staff members, whose dedication made this transition smooth and successful. Bus transportation is operating for registered riders, and carpool procedures remain in place to ensure a safe and efficient drop-off and pick-up for families. Please reach out to Ms. Goodman if you have any questions or concerns. We will begin updating families in December when it is time to discuss the move back to Wesley’s Cook Building on Memorial Drive.
New Dismissal Time: To accommodate the bus schedule and commute time, dismissal will begin at 2:45pm and end at 3:30pm.
New Hours for Wesley’s Aftercare: Wesley’s aftercare hours will be from 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
