Technology

Technology is essential for today’s students.

Our PYP and MYP Technology Classes focus on developing specific skills in each grade level, building upon the previous grade level each year.

Many of our technology projects have an IB focus while also challenging students’ technology skills. As students express interest in a technical area, we seek to align our agenda and projects to support this pursuit. All students (K-8) participate in Technology as part of their Specials rotation. Additionally, technology is an active tool in our classrooms and used in a variety of methods to support education in all subjects.

MYP Technology Course

Inquiry and problem-solving are at the heart of Design Technology. This MYP course requires the use of the design cycle as a tool, which provides the methodology for structuring the inquiry and analysis of problems and then to the development, testing, and evaluation of the solution. In MYP design, a solution can be defined as a model, prototype, product, or system that students have developed and created independently.

PYP Technology Course

Our IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) Technology course empowers students to become creative, confident, and responsible digital citizens. Through hands-on projects, students explore coding, robotics, multimedia design, and digital communication while making meaningful connections to their classroom units of inquiry. Technology is integrated as a tool for inquiry, collaboration, and problem-solving, allowing students to develop critical thinking skills and a global mindset. By engaging with technology in innovative ways, our learners build the foundations to thrive in an ever-changing digital world.
