Putting Language Skills Into Practice

An essential part of language learning is putting our skills into practice in real life situations. Every year our 7th and 8th grade students visit the Chinese market to use their Mandarin skills.

Join us on a scavenger hunt through the market to find essential Asian items.

Watch us practice our language skills to order lunch.

Finally, we enjoy it together!

China Week

China Week is an initiative to celebrate our school's connection and commitment to Chinese heritage, language, and culture. School-wide K-8 curriculum during this week is tailored to promote and deliver transdisciplinary learning between Chinese and our IB units of inquiry.

Although we are celebrating China Week differently this year, Wesley still acknowledges our strong connection to China's rich heritage, language, and culture. Our Chinese team has put together daily videos to share Chinese New Year facts throughout the week during our morning announcements.
