Well-fed kids are ready to learn! Our Meal Program provides nutritious, daily breakfasts and lunches for students. Wesley follows the monthly menus provided by Atlanta Public Schools. Fresh fruit and salad bars options are available. We do not send home paper menus, but copies are available in the cafeteria and online. You can see this month’s Lunch Menu on the APS website. Our current vendor is Sodexo-Jackmont.
Breakfast and lunch meals will not be free of charge for families for the 2020-21 school year, as it was in previous years (You can read the announcement of this change of policy from APS here). This change means that each household must complete and submit an online lunch application. Wesley is one of 21 schools participating in the program. All families that qualify for free and reduced lunch based on income will be notified. Those who do not qualify will be required to pay the full price for meals.
Students are expected to pay the full price for meals until the free and reduced meal application has been processed and the eligibility status is sent to the school. Students in a paying meal status who have insufficient funds for meal payment will be allowed to incur and accumulate a charge balance.
In the event that student school meal accounts become delinquent, the district will continue to make school meals available to students, unless the parents have consented in writing to withholding meals and/or the delinquency has reached a predetermined amount set by the district. The total accumulated balance must be paid in full before the end of the school year.
Each family should apply online here.
Here is the pricing information for the 2020-21 school year:
Full Pay – $1.50
Reduced Pay – $.30
Full Pay – $3.00
Reduced Pay – $.40

Meal Services During Virtual Learning
Atlanta Public Schools has provided an opportunity for families to have access to meals during this time of virtual learning. Parents can pre-order weekly kits, which include 5 breakfast and lunch meals. Meal kits must be ordered by Monday of each week for the following week. The meals for Wesley families will be delivered to the school. Parents will pick up pre-ordered meals every MONDAY between 3 pm and 5 pm. Meals will be distributed on Connally Street. Please bring your child’s student ID number when you pick up meals.
There is no charge for placing an order. However, reduced and full pay student accounts will be charged once meals have been received by the student. There is no charge for students approved for free meals.
If you have any questions regarding meals, please reach out to Ms. Johnson.
Lunches from Home
When packing a lunch, we recommend healthy foods and beverages, such as water, milk, or 100% fruit juices. Soda is not encouraged. Please provide lunches that do not need to be heated as this poses a liability for the school. Students may purchase milk or juice at school when bringing lunch from home.
Parents are welcome to have lunch with their child(ren).
