The WIA PTSA strives to offer our families a variety of opportunities to be involved and to foster an enriching learning environment for our children. If you choose to volunteer for any of these opportunities, please know the PTSA leadership is happy to assist you and answer any questions.

One fun way to connect with your child’s teacher is to become a class parent! Serve as a link between the teacher and classroom families, coordinate classroom events, and be an advocate for school socials. Find out more on becoming a class parent at our annual Class Parent Breakfast in August.

Events & Festivals
Enjoy going to festivals? Do you have strong organizational skills? If so, please consider volunteering for our enrichment activities, such as the Dragon Boat Race in September, East Atlanta Strut in September, International Feastival in October, and Lunar New Year Festival in January. Help with planning fun activities for our families, coordinating performances, soliciting international dishes from neighborhood restaurants, decorating, and spreading the word about these community-wide events.

Is planning events something you enjoy or have experience with? Join the annual auction committee to help in any of these areas: logistics, donations, communication & marketing, food, and performances. We will celebrate our school community with delicious food, drinks, and live music as we raise money to support ongoing educational initiatives and programs.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
- Dine Outs. Coordinate with local restaurants to host “dine out” night for our Wesley community, with a portion of receipts benefiting PTSA.
- Teacher Appreciation Events. Coordinating quarterly appreciation activities for our teachers and staff.
- NUT Pass. Coordinate monthly No Uniform Today collections.
- Fall Catalog Sale. Assist with order tabulation and distribution.
