Technology is essential in a variety of settings within the walls of a school. Our PYP and MYP Technology classes focus on developing specific skills depending on the grade level and then building upon those skills as they progress each semester and each grade level. IB is ever present in class as many of the technology projects have an IB focus while building students’ technology skills. As students express interest in a technical area, then the agenda and project will follow suit. All students (K-8) attend Technology class once a week. Technology is ever-present in our classrooms and used in a variety of methods while learning all subjects.

MYP Technology Course
Inquiry and problem-solving are at the heart of Design Technology. MYP design requires the use of the design cycle as a tool, which provides the methodology used to structure the inquiry and analysis of problems and then to the development, testing and evaluation of the solution. In MYP design, a solution can be defined as a model, prototype, product or system that students have developed and created independently.
